 French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron have officially filed a major defamation lawsuit against U.S. conservative commentator Candace Owens . The lawsuit filed in Delaware Superior Court  lists 22 separate allegations , claiming that Owens spread false, damaging rumors, including the widely debunked claim that Brigitte Macron was born male. The 219-page complaint includes personal documents, birth announcements, and photographs to prove Brigitte’s identity, asserting she has “always been a woman.” Despite multiple warnings to retract the statements, Owens not only refused but doubled down , continuing to spread the claims online, while mocking the Macrons and monetizing the conspiracy. In response, Owens insists this is an attack on her free speech , saying she will fight the lawsuit and use it to raise funds .
